Kem Kuppers' Inductive Pulse Amplifiers

VIE 02

Inductive pulse amplifiers of series VIE 02 for measuring cells in aluminum housing. We advise the identical carrier-frequency pulse amplifiers VTE 02 for measuring cells in steel housing.

The inductive pickups detect the r.p.m. of KEM flow meters. Each passing of a tooth will be detected contactless and produces a pulse at the output. Therefore each pulse corresponds to a fixed volume and the frequency corresponds to the volume flow. Versions with Push Pull output or NAMUR output (option: open collector output npn) are available.

The pickup is screwed into the meter via a thread M14×1.5 (option UNF ½”-20). Accordingly the VIE 02 fit on all KEM measuring cells.

Features

Application

The VIE 02 are inductive pickups for ZHA, SRA and HM nn-U in aluminium housing. They provide a wide frequency range and a relative low impact on pressure drop and low flow performance. For meters with stainless steel housing, nevertheless, the pickup series VTE 02 is recommended.

For applications in harzardous areas intrinsically safe versions with ATEX and IECEx certification for zone 1 and cCSAus certification for zone 0 and division 1 are available.

cells in aluminum housing and applications with high temperature (-196 °C up to +350 °C [320.8 °F up to +662 °F]). For all other applications we recommend the carrier frequency transducers of the VTE series.

Features

Application

Contactless IF sensors detect the rotational speed of KEM flow meters. These are inductive sensors that output a sinusoidal voltage signal in the mV range. The remotely via cable connected VIEG amplifier unit amplifies and converts this signal. The spatial and thermal separation of the IF sensor and amplifier unit allows flows to be measured at extreme medium temperatures of -196 °C up to +350 °C [-320.8 °F up to +662 °F]
