Litre Meter pioneered the development of the Pelton wheel flowmeter: an accurate, effective and versatile design suitable for many different fluids including acids, chemicals, fuels, water and hot fats, at both high and low flow rates.

Since 1986 Litre Meter has developed the VFF meter (literally, Viscous or Versatile Fluids Flowmeter) for low flow and high pressure applications for the offshore industry particularly for chemical injection. In 2011 we supplied the largest ever chemical injection flowmeter order for the Gulf of Mexico. Over 5,000 VFFs are now in operation on chemical injection.

Our portfolio for the UK now includes flowmeters of all kinds, including rotary meters, gas flowmeters, helical screw flowmeters and ultrasonic flowmeters to handle a wide range of viscosities, flow rates and pressures, aggressive liquids and hazardous or adverse environments. We are members of the Institute of Manufacturing at Cambridge University, FPAL, Achilles, Institute of Measurement and Control and Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce. Litre Meter is a member of the TASI Flow Division and won the Queen’s Award in 2016 for Enterprise in International Trade.

Over the last 34 years, we’ve built a huge catalogue of products to suit your every need organised by flow ranges – from our standard range of flowmeters (popular in the UK, EU and US), to our bespoke range of customisable flowmeters that can be adjusted to suit to almost any flow application.

The VFF range is ideally suited to low flow, high pressure services such as those found in chemical injection, hydraulics measurement and subsea.

• LF Flow Meters Litre Meter Positive Displacement Flowmeters : The LF (or Low Flow) meters are the smallest in the VFF range.
• MF Flow Meters Litre Meter Positive Displacement Flowmeters : The MF (or Medium Flow) VFF covers flow rates up to 180 l/hr. It was first provided in 1992. The MF30 was originally rated to 3.0 l/min – hence MF30.
• VFF size Flow meters Litre Meter Positive Displacement Flowmeters : The VFF range started in 1986 with the original VFF4 size rated to 4 litres per minute.
• HF Flow Meters Litre Meter Positive Displacement Flowmeters : The HF range started in 1998 with the HF20 using a graphite rotor rated to 20 l/min.
