Tubing Tongs :

Tubing tongs used for running tubular to extract oil and gas from reservoirs are ruggedly designed and provide reliable performance even at the higher torque that is required to break premium connections. Casing Tongs :

Casing Tongs provide make-up and break-out capabilities when running casing tubular in the drill hole to maintain well integrity. Casing tongs are available in various sizes from 5-1/2" to 36" and are designed to handle high torque casing or lightweight casing. Available models: Standard, Hydra-Shift, High Torque, and Ultra High Torque with torques ranging from 15,000 ft-lbs up to 200,000 ft-lbs. Consistent operations between models reduce employee training.

Drill Pipe Tongs  :

Drill pipe, an industrial tubular used for drilling into the ground, is screwed together using a tong to form a drill string. Eckel Drill Pipe Tongs reduce drill time and costs while providing a safe means environment. These tongs are available in sizes 2 3/8 - 10 inches. Available with an array of models to choose from Standard, Hydra-Shift, High Torque, and Ultra High Torque, depending on your torque requirements.

Riser Tongs :

Risers are conduits (similar to pipelines) that transfer materials from the blow-out preventer on the seafloor to a floating production structure or drilling rig. Like a pipeline or flowlines, drilling risers transfer mud during the drilling phase while production risers transfer hydrocarbons and production materials.

Premium pipe manufacturers have designed threaded risers specially designed for use in deep water that is fatigue-resistant, sealable, and high-pressure applications. Eckel offers a variety of tongs for Drilling Risers, Top Tensioned Risers, and Workover Risers.

Eckel Hydraulic Power Units

Eckel's standard diesel or electric power packages at 65 GPM and 2,500 psi (246 LPM / 172 bar) are dependable and long, trouble-free service. Eckel will customize hydraulic power systems in the shortest possible time to meet "nonstandard" requirements for space, fluid flow, auxiliary power, portability, etc.

Diesel-driven units are optionally supplied with automatic shutdown systems to prevent the engine run away when explosive gasses are present. Additional shutdowns include engine oil temperature, oil pressure, and fan belt breakage. All controls are either air, mechanical, or electrical.
