Gaga Radar Sensors use millimeter waves, which refer to radar waves with extremely short wavelength ranges. Gaga has been producing non-contact level sensors using millimeter waves since 2009. Currently, Gaga Radar Sensors are used for a variety of applications, including silo level measurement, molten metal level measurement, collision prevention, hot metal detection, conveyor belt speed measurement, vehicle speed measurement, etc.
Gaga Radar Sensors are impervious to environmental factors such as snow, rain, fog, and clouds, and are capable of penetrating thick dust or vapors. Installing a GAGA Radar Sensor in a location that was difficult to acquire accurate readings with existing level or distance sensors can help operators manage nearby equipment.
Gaga Product :
Special Particulate Level Sensor :
Measuring the particulate level with a 26GHZ radar sensor inside a silo with extremely high particle levels may lead to a hunting phenomenon.
However, GAGA’s radar uses millimeter waves with short wavelengths. This improves its ability to penetrate through highly contaminated air and boosts its ability to measure the particulate level inside silos with extremely high dust or vapor levels.

Super-High Temperature Molten Metal :
This product uses millimeter waves with excellent penetrating capabilities, making them perfect for measuring targets with super-high temperatures. When a sensor is inserted into a tank or container to measure its internal environment, the microprocessor will malfunction due to the extreme temperature or pressure levels inside the tank or container.
GAGA sensors use ceramic flanges, etc. fitted to a hole at the top of a
container. This prevents its waves from diffusing, which would happen if you
use gamma-rays or x-rays from the outside of a container, and makes sure
nothing can interfere with the measurement results from inside the container.
Moreover, GAGA sensors maintain their detection capacity even when the
container has high levels of particulates or open flames inside.
They also retain a stable TOF gain and linearization in cases where the
container holds lava-like molten iron or molten glass, molten zinc, or molten
magnesium, which means the sensors can perform their measuring functions
without being affected by the medium inside the container.
Not only that, GAGA sensors do not display any spot diffusion effects that
typically appear in ultrasonic waves or other radar waves of 6GHZ, and 26GHZ. Instead, they can emit a source to the target much like a laser.
- Level measurement in extraordinary environments (super-high temperature silo levels, shaft furnace levels)
- Continuous casting mold level measurement, Torpedo ladle car level measurement, Molten metal level measurement
- Measured outside the tank, therefore no damage due to extreme temperatures

Hot Metal Detector :
GAGA HMD/CMD products use millimeter waves instead of detecting light in the infrared spectrum. As such, they remain accurate (no errors) under conditions with extremely high particulate levels, which is typical during steel production processes.
Millimeter waves also have outstanding penetration capabilities impervious to
vapors. GAGA HMD/CMD products are easy to maintain - they do not require
cleaning even when dust covers the lens. Not only that, their sensors work when the lens is completely covered with
fabric as well.
Applications :
- Continuous Casting
- Detection of slab
- Hot product detection
- Other Still Mill
- Cold Rolling Mill
- Hot strip tracking

Belt Speed Detector :
Belt Speed Detectors measure the speed of conveyor belts
used to transport materials such
as ores, cokes, etc. without requiring contact (non-contact measurement), and they notify the
operator when any anomalies are detected.
Specifically, they can warn the operator of any belt slippage or stoppage to prevent accidents. Existing rotary
contact-type belt speed detector sensors require
contact with the belt, which wears down the belt over time.
Moreover, axles can deteriorate and bearings can become rigid. All of these are typical shortcomings
of contact-type detectors that will require operators to replace parts
regularly.
Application :
- Belt Conveyors
- Coal storage vertical conveyor
- Heavy duty Weigh Belt Feeders

Crane Anti-Collision Sensor :
GAGA Crane Anti-collision Sensors use millimeter waves
instead of detecting light in the infrared spectrum. As such, they remain
accurate (no errors) under conditions with extremely high particulate levels,
which is typical during steel production processes. Millimeter waves also have
outstanding penetration capabilities impervious to vapors. GAGA Crane
Anti-collision Sensors are easy to maintain - they do not require cleaning even
when dust covers the lens.
GAGA Crane Anti-collision Sensors use millimeter waves with excellent
penetrating capabilities, making them perfect for preventing crane collisions.
- The operator can configure the individual warning distance and warning section between two sections
- The operator can select between two options for the warning section (set standard, set section)
- LCD displays the measured distance in real-time
- The sensor produces highly accurate measurements
- Optional integrated heater available for cold winter seasons
Applications :
- Collision prevention for large vessels and small vessels under foggy conditions with poor visibility
- Collision prevention for bridge cranes inside a plant (prevents collisions involving cranes in environments with extremely high particulate levels where photo-laser sensors cannot penetrate the air with regularity
- Collision prevention for outdoor gantry cranes, collision prevention for tower cranes

3D Radar
Sensor :
All radar sensors currently used for level-measuring
purposes in the field are capable of measuring a single point only. As
such, when a bridge occurs inside a silo, it is extremely difficult to get an
accurate and precise level reading. GAGA 3D
Radar Sensors, however, acquire up to 36 Polygon Data points to measure the
level inside a container. This means that it can provide accurate level measurements even if the surface
of the medium inside is not smooth.
GAGA 3D Radar Sensors are also impervious to dust, open flames, or vapors, making them the perfect solution when measuring powder silos with high particulate levels. Since GAGA 3D Radar Sensors use millimeter waves with extremely short wavelengths, and the sensors are easy to maintain - they do not require cleaning even when dust covers the lens.
- Multiple mapping points (acquire up to 36 Polygon Data points)
- Self-cleaning function to remove contaminants from the sensor
- Accurate measurements unaffected by particulates/vapor
- Easy and simple maintenance
